..my PNR plate..

so here's my PNR plate,,
i defended it kanina,,
presenting only an amateur sketch of my ideas,,
and a first tym rendition using Sketch up,,
tho it's not wid d real juries,,
i think its ok nmn,,

so basically,,
we were asked to ride d PNR
just to hav an experience,,
then based on that
we need to arrive to a design for
a new station platform,

after we came up wid a basic form,,
our professor had us listning to
a music,, which is our second
line of consideration for our design,,

so we needed ou basic forms to evolve
into somthing that we can relate to the music
but wouldn't let go of the concept from the experience.

so mine did its evolution plenty of times,,
until i arrived wid MY PNR.

..the ARCHITECT that i like and the one that i hate..

tuesday last week,, our class was asked to report an architect,, one per student,, a total of 19 architects was reported that day,, architects of diff nationality and genre. after the reporting,, we were asked to blog about the architect we liked the most and the architect we hated the most. so, here's mine:


i like architect DANIEL LIBESKIND. i like him because he is a deconstructionist and i wanted to be like that. i wanted to make my designs so unique i can't help but be famous. i also like the late architect FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT. i like him because he is the one that transformed architecture in his time. i wanted to be like that, i want to be the one to introduce a new architectural trend in our time.


among the reported architects,, i didn't like architect ZAHA HADID only because she is so good at designing, she can't build her designs yet,, because her designs require higher technologies than what we have now.

..last friday,, we went out wid a professor of mine,, went to moa to eat sana,, pero on our way there we were caught by an officer of the laws,, eh mejo no violation naman pero weird,, kceh bnayaran nlng nmen instead n kukunin nya ung license tpos bbyaran dn dun,, haaayyy,,

i know its bad pero lets face it,, gnun s pilipinas,, sad pero true.

parang continuation,,

we're in this old house,,
mejo scary ung setting,,
pero masaya ung nanyayare..

tpos bglang nsa isang gym kme,,
wid 3 tigers on their hindlegs,,
(yes they were standing on 2 feet)
and they are brushing their teeth,,

my friends played around,,
may mga arcade games kc,,
ako,, i went s bowling spot,,
i grabbed a bowling ball,,
then came this small car n hinabol aq,,
papatayin nya daw aq,,
pero i smashed d wind shield wid d bowling ball,,
plus my friends stopped it,,
tpos we opened the (err..) roof..

we argued,,
and it seemed like meron tlga xang grudge skin,,
scary,,

pero d funny part was,,
i kissed her,, grabe,,
parang totoo,,
walang xang nagawa,,
kinurot nya lng ako s tummy ko,,

then i woke up,,
wid d feeling of her lips to myn,,
and her hands s tummy ko,,

its 1pm plng pla..
a very short dream..

..MANIFESTO 02..

ok, so it's been how many years now, since i first answered the question:
"what is architecture?". 4yrs ago my answer would have been: "architecture
is the art and science of designing and planning.". but then through the
years, i learned it's not just that, architecture cannot be simply described
as an art and science, it's not just designing, it's not just planning.
i think, architecture is a science, maybe because it includes a lot of numbers.
it is an art maybe because it requires a lot of creativity. it is also a
profession one can hold till his death bed. ultimately, i think, architecture is
the best field that suites me, it is the only thing that can make me feel that i've got so many things to show, that made me feel like im so crazy by doing things i don't normally do. architecture can make me stay up (with no sleep) for up to 6 days (best record yet), it can make me cry for a grade i think i don't deserve but then after a cup of coffee i'd realize what's wrong about it and accept the grade given to me. maybe, if i wasn't for architecture i wouldn't be the person i am today, well generally, it is something one cannot understand unless he/she falls in love with it.

hmm.. what i like about architecture is its complexity?? i think architecture is so complex i liked it. it is complex in a way that it keeps my brain working, it keeps my mind thinking of a way, a design, a plan, or a solution. it's so hard but i like it. another thing i like about architecture is its challenge, the challenge i face every week for 5 years now. every challenge gets me going, i experienced failures and successes. every failure is a new experience, a new base for the next challenge to come. every success is a trophy, not for showing off but for others to learn about. another thing (i like) is its value today, there is no monumental structure today that doesn't have a touch of architecture in it, from government offices to theaters, or even those that dates back from prehistory which brings us to another thing i like about architecture, its ancient-ness. architecture dates back from the times of the Egyptians, the Romans, the Greeks it even precedes writing. ok enough, i like architecture, do i really need to say so much about it?? i like it (period).

i don't hate architecture, i mean, how can i hate something i really love? hmm.. oh well, let me try. ok, maybe i don't hate architecture as a whole but of course there are some flaws that i don't really like. having less time for my self is something i hate. i hate not going to malls because of a plate, i hate not going out with friends because i need to render something, i hate not to go shopping with family because i need to finish a model. but then again, these are not somethings i can blame on architecture. hmmm.. let's find something i could. oh yes there, like my first manifesto stated before, i hated architecture because it wounds nature. it uses a lot of resources just to be burned at the end. i dunno, its just that im so into nature too, maybe this realization could make a better architect only if it is to be put out in public, i mean, it is out in public, but it needs more attention.

hmmm.. i think that's it. i think i'll mail this now. ^___^v
